01What grades does The Anchored School currently serve?
The Texas campus currently serves Kindergarten through Grade 6. Grades 7 and 8 are coming for the 2027–28 school year.
02Is The Anchored School a Christian school?
Yes. The Anchored School is a Christian faith-based school, and Bible study and Christian values are part of the school experience. Children from different religious backgrounds are welcome, and the school does not discriminate in admission based on a child’s religion.
03What curriculum does the school use?
Abeka is the primary curriculum focus. Guides use the academic framework alongside personalized instruction, discussion, hands-on learning, projects, and learner-specific support.
04Are learners placed strictly by age or grade?
No. Enrollment grades are still recognized, but instructional placement is based on skills, knowledge, educational readiness, and social-emotional readiness rather than age alone.
05How does the school determine placement?
Educational and social-emotional assessments help the team understand learner readiness and support needs so the learner can be placed in the most appropriate learning environment.
06Are the teachers licensed?
Yes. The school’s guides are licensed, experienced educators.
07What is the Full-Time Program?
Full-Time learners attend campus five days a week. The regular school day is 8:00 AM–3:30 PM. The school opens at 7:00 AM, and afterschool care is available until 6:00 PM.
08How does the Hybrid Program work?
Hybrid learners attend campus three or four days a week. Families choose which three or four campus days work for them. The school provides curriculum and assigned work for home-learning days, and learners may also have homework.
09Who can join Skill Classes?
Skill Classes are open to learners age 5 and above, including current Anchored learners, Hybrid learners, homeschool families, and other learners outside the school.
10How much do Skill Classes cost?
The Skill Classes program is $375 per month. It is one fixed fee for the complete program and is not sold à la carte. Families may attend only the classes they want, but the monthly fee remains $375.
11What ages does the Nursery serve?
Nursery at The Anchored School serves infants and toddlers from 4 weeks through 2 years of age. Contact the school for current availability and program details.
12Are school uniforms required?
Yes. School uniforms are required for all learners. Uniform information and ordering are provided through The Anchored School PTO.
13How do parents receive updates?
Families receive daily Procare updates, weekly IP updates, monthly parent-teacher conferences, and quarterly parent-teacher conferences.
14Does the school provide meals?
An in-house chef prepares an optional organic meal each school day. Families pay only for the days their learner eats the school meal. Snacks are provided to all learners.
15How is technology used?
Technology is used intentionally for specific learning purposes. The campus includes Smart TVs, computers for programming and robotics, and library computers. The school is also expanding hands-on STEM resources, including robotics, 3D printing, and a science lab.
16Is The Anchored School accredited?
Yes. The Anchored School is accredited by Cognia.
17When can families apply?
The school accepts applications year-round, subject to available space and fit.
18How do we start the admissions process?
Start by submitting a tour request. The school will review the request and contact you to arrange a 30–45 minute campus visit with Principal Diana Jones. After the visit, families who want to continue can request the full application by email.
19Can children come on the tour?
Yes. Parents and children are welcome to attend the campus tour.
